MEET THE TEAM
Paola’s interest in fashion developed at an early age while playing dress-up in her mother’s closet. Years later, Paola postponed her artistic career to pursue a degree in International Business at Merrimack College from 2006 to 2010.
In 2011, after a brief time in the private sector, Paola decided to follow her heart and moved back to home to study Fashion Design at The Art Institute of Houston. While attending The Art Institute, Paola was awarded 3rd place in Houston's “Little Black Dress Designer” competition. Paola’s career in the fashion industry began at Paty, Inc. where she worked as a lead pattern maker.
Paola’s senior collection marked the launch of Inclán Studio, her first women’s ready-to-wear clothing label. Since its introduction in 2013, Inclán Studio has shown at various notable fashion shows including Heart of Fashion in 2015 as the Featured Emerging Designer, as well as Runway Houston.
A native Houstonian, Clarence Lee attended The University of Houston in hopes of majoring in business, while his interest in fashion design sat on the back burner.
Clarence put his creativity into motion by designing his first garment for a charity fashion show in New York City in 2009. Inspired and invigorated by that experience, Clarence decided to return home and enroll at The Art Institute of Houston. During his studies, as Clarence began to cultivate a minimal yet detailed aesthetic inspired by the modern Houston woman, his designs caught the attention of Jerrie Moore, a local evening-wear designer. Clarence soon began to work with Moore and stayed until 2013.
In 2014, Clarence showcased his senior collection at Audi Central Houston that garnered great attention and landed him a spot at Fashion Houston, where he showcased alongside then student designer, Paola.
Shortly afterwards, Clarence joined Inclán Studio.
Thao Phuong Le was born and raised in the countryside of Vietnam. Thao studied Architecture at a local university in Vietnam where she took classes in art and design that contributed to her creative skills.
After moving to the United States with her family in 2008, Thao set aside her creative passion in order to pursue an education in the medical field. However, not long after, she realized her strong desire for art and fashion remained. She began attending The Art Institute of Houston, where after graduating in 2015, she joined the Inclán Studio team.
In the Fall of 2016, Thao displayed her very own, well-received collection during Runway Houston’s show at the River Oaks District.
Thao and Team Inclán are eager for Inclán Studio to become a recognized women’s contemporary brand and hope to be able to expand internationally.
